People ignore design that ignores people.

I spend a good part of my day in front of the screen researching, designing and reading about the latest features for the programs i use with an open eye cheking for new trends and tricks of the trade. As graphic design is a field that is quickly changing and while it is easy to get caught up in learning new technical skills, it is just as important to focus on improving and pushing the limits of my creativity.

For many designers, the word 'trend' has a negative connotation, but having a handle on what is going on and adjusting it to my own style with genuine innovation and independent creative thought gives me the edge to achieve a good business outcome. My method of doing so is by looking through tutorials or creating sample projects. That way I get to apply my learned techniques to my own designs without limitations. Most of these projects have ended up published by a satisfied customer.
